Hershey's Sweet Treats

We all know about personalized M&Ms, but how about Hershey's Kisses? The famous chocolate company in the Sweetest Place on Earth now makes their famous treats with "Just Married" and "Best Wishes" flags -- perfect for weddings! They'd be great in favor boxes, alongside a piece of wedding cake, as part of a candy buffet, or even in a bowl by the door for a sweet drive home.

Congratulations, Robin & Brian!

I'm a little late on this one, but I wanted to send along my congratulations to Robin & Brian! Our February 17th couple got hitched and partied at Whitehall Manor (one of our favorite venues).

We started off the week of the wedding with a massive snowstorm on Wednesday that went all the way through Thursday. By Friday the snow had slowed but their gravel driveway and parking lot at Whitehall were covered! A big kudos goes to Doug at Whitehall, whose staff spent at least two solid days digging out the snow and laying new gravel. Doug even got on top of the roof to shovel the snow out of the skylights so there would be sunlight for the ceremony. Not all reception sites will do that for a bride!

Here are a few photos from the very talented Michael Bonfigli:Other vendors included Rob Hanna from Kirkabee Deejays, Chariots for Hire, Petal's Edge, and Taylor Made Cakes.

We wish them much success and happiness together!

Congratulations, Ashley & Jason!

Ashley's one of my dear friends from JMU (go dukes!). She and Jason are high school sweethearts! I was so happy to be a small part of their wedding last weekend. Jason's a lucky guy and I know they'll be very happy together.

It'll be a little while before we get the professional photos, but for now here's a glimpse!
Special thanks to Jenna Noel and Falon Corno for letting me steal photos off their Facebook galleries.

Nettleton Hollow Branches

Seen photos like these but wondered where to get the materials?

Try Nettleton Hollow! The online retailer sells botanical material, including branches, seed pods, dried flowers, and grasses. These coral bushes would create a perfect platform for hanging votives:
These curly willow branches would make a stunning ceremony altar arrangement or cool buffet piece. If you're crafty, you can even arrange them to make an arch to marry under. The website gives great directions on how to make the semi-straight branches all twisty and crazy!
Pussy Willow branches would be lovely with some springtime linens, a tall vase filled with coffee beans, and some pinspot lighting:
