Party at the Ronald Reagan Building

Last night we had the fun opportunity to visit the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center, one of DC's best venues! While they unfortunately chose the same date as the National Christmas Tree Lighting and it took me 2 hours to drive less than 2 miles (seriously), we had a really nice time and of course I took some photos. The event was held in the Pavilion Room, one of three beautiful wedding venues they offer.

We were greeted by their custom gobo, projected onto their beautiful wood paneled walls:They had a fully stocked bar: Beautiful cheese display:among other yummies:Here's just one of the carving stations:This one was venison:Music was provided by Rich from Bialek's Music:Outside in the foyer was an entire dessert buffet and some coffee & wine stations. Here are the coffee accessories:And some port and rose wine:My favorite part was the 'floating' dessert tables. Two of these tables had a large panel of glass raised over a table with flowers underneath. Here's the first we came to (the black line is the edge of the glass):This table had fantastic white chocolate mousse cannolis and some sort of caramelized banana/chocolate combo:
Instead of vases of flowers, this table held orchids & stones underneath the glass. This table had lavender macarons and some other incredibly yummy thing:
A shot between the glass and the table:Ryan & Cristin joined me and finally had an opportunity to meet one another:
The Reagan Building is also where Tricia & Jim and Crystal & Edwin had their wedding receptions!
