Congratulations, Crystal & Edwin!
Crystal and Edwin had an intimate church ceremony in January but decided to have their big wedding celebration this past Sunday at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center downtown. Did you know it's the second largest government building? The Pentagon is just a little bigger. Here are some photos of the day from MK McKenna and her assistant Jaime:
They had the cutest flower girls I've ever seen:The Woodrow Wilson Plaza makes a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony:In Filipino tradition, Crystal and Edwin are wrapped in a veil by their sponsors during the ceremony:Married! They had 16 in their bridal party, 8 on each side:During cocktails they snuck off to Freedom Plaza for a bit of illegal skateboarding:What a grand entrance to the party!First dance:Instead of a traditional guest book, Crystal & Edwin chose to have their guests sign a guitar:Another Filipino tradition, the money dance, lasted upwards of 30 minutes! These two were covered in cash by the end:The garter toss always brings out the best in people:
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. A! Here they are with their sweet little new family addition, Crystin (we share a birthday!):
This wedding really turned out beautifully and we have a few more vendors to thank for that. Special thanks to MK, Jaime, & Reflexion Media for staying overtime when the couple extended the party by an hour! I took a few photos with my new camera to show off the details.
Kate & I must've spent 30 minutes trying to squeeze 196 place cards onto a 5' table:Fancy Cakes by Leslie made a gorgeous pink wedding cake and a fun 'crab basket' grooms cake:Seriously, this cake was awesome! Look at the cute little Old Bay canister:Darla Creekmore provided the stunning tall centerpieces:I've written about how great the Reagan Building is, but honestly, they're excellent!
