To DIY or not DIY?

Saundra over at Planning...Forever Events wrote an awesome blog post today about DIY weddings. She really hit the nail right on the head and I wanted to share it with you! While DIY-ing your wedding can be fun and a perfect way to put those personal finishing touches on your wedding, they ultimately cause a lot of stress. Here's a small tidbit of Saundra's wisdom:

What I've found through years of event planning is that there are two kinds of families who decorate their own venue.

Family A: dozens of family members/close friends show up on the wedding day and pull together to decorate the reception.

Family B: only a few of the dozen of family members/close friends who promised to show up actually do to decorate the reception on the wedding day.

So here's the million dollar question: Which family is yours?
